One and done!
I am absolutely thrilled with this sock pattern. I got it for free during socktober, but I only just got round to it in February. These socks worked up quickly and I enjoyed the opportunity to use one solid colour and one of my beautiful hand-dyed hanks for this pair. The solid colour is from The Loveliest Yarn Company, and I bought it at the Spirit of Christmas Fair at Olympia. The variegated one is called Just Another Manic Mermaid and is by the Less Traveled Yarn Company.
This pattern comes in many many sizes, and allows for the maker to tailor the socks to fit any foot! I love this because my feet are wide but short and I usually end up having to use my designer skills to alter the patterns to fit my stubby feet!
If I make them again, I will go a size smaller on the ankle part as they’re a bit loose. It’s not an if, it’s a when! I can’t wait to see what my other variegated yarns look like as these socks!
I feel like I am going to always have a pair of socks in progress. They are wearables that I get the most joy out of making and wearing, and you can never have enough socks, so I am starting up Sock Saturday on the blog! I have another pair on the go that is knitted, so next week you can expect to see that!
